OK, this is not a tutorial but it might give some an idea of where to start.
1. I started off with my stick figure*. I chose an intermediate pose but you can mess around with other poses. I try not to spend time drawing my stick figure sketch.
*Note: I use a colored pencil for my basic sketch then go over the colored sketch with a regular pencil. I find this a clever way of avoiding some pencil smudge.
2. With my stick figure done, I just went along the lines to put some meat on those bones. (btw, I did skip a step with drawing circles around the sticks but that's not my way anymore) I also added my lines to where I would have everything organized on the face.
3. I added clothes. You don't have to add clothes but that's a different subject. Anyway, I added hair and a face as well.
4. This is my final step in the process. I add the detail. Some of the detail is not visible because the resolution was set to 75 so, yeah. I may submit a clearer one so everyone can see the detail but it all depends.
Tada. This is how I draw. It may not seem breath-taking but it's my way. Find a way that's best suited for you.
Well i found this really useful. Was good to see the steps to use when drawing something. I actually found it alot more helpful not drawing the circles around the sticks, just confused me more lol. Thanks for the tutorial!

Do you mean digitally? Manually, I wouldn't know because I don't use watercolor pencils. The first thing I would suggest is to erase with a regular eraser. But I don't know. Sorry :\

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
